That's where Sandstone Solutions can help--by providing qualified and experieced professional expertise that assists people to move beyond the tangle of problems and achieve creative solutions.

Thorana Nelson and Victor Nelson have each been practicing marriage and family therapy since 1983. Victor received advanced training in pastoral counseling while Thorana completed her Ph.D. in order to teach and train marriage and family therapists.

Thorana has taught and trained hundreds of marriage and family therapists in the academic settings of Purdue University and Utah State University. She has provided family therapy training as an Approved Supervisor of AAMFT. She has also provided numerous family therapy training workshops and classes at local, regional, national, and international events. She combines her love of teaching with her practice of marriage and family therapy, research and writing in the field of family therapy, and has edited a number of books for professionals.

Victor's marriage and family therapy practice in Indiana and Utah included developing treatment programs for men and for violent offenders. He founded and directed the Family Institute of Northern Utah in Logan, Utah for ten years where he helped his staff develop innovative treatment programs for violent offenders and for children who witnessed violence in their families. Victor has presented family therapy training events at local, regional, national, and international conferences. He has also provided organizational consulting to non-profit organizations, academic institutions, and family-owned businesses. His private practice focuses on mediation, domestic mediation, divorce, divorce adjustment, divorce education, and divorce coaching. His background in pastoral counseling brings a strong spiritual dimension to his work.
